The Artist's Journey

Jan has always designed for her own amusement. Having this passion for art and art education, she holds a teaching degree from the University of Missouri. She opened a preschool where, for twenty-five years, she treasured teaching, primarily art (the more flamboyant the better). She has visited forty-nine states and traveled throughout twenty-seven countries, soaking in the culture through museums, architecture, and art everywhere she goes!

Family is her greatest joy, being a mom of three and having six incredible (and tall) grandchildren. Jan is also a huge nerd, having an extensive mineral and fossil collection, many of which she has dug herself. As she feels it is hard to surpass natural beauty, she loves spending time in the great outdoors.
